Dr Adela S. M. Lau, a lecturer in data science in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Hong Kong, inspired a group of our student ambassadors with a wonderful talk on cutting-edge trends in art technology. Using videos and holograms, Dr Lau emphasised the integration of technology and reality, especially in the museum context. Towards the end of the lecture, the student ambassadors had their own hands-on experience of using online interactive platforms and were able to design their own galleries.
