The Fourth Hong Kong Palace Museum Student Ambassador

Activities and Tasks

From March to October 2026:

  • Participate in 1–2 learning activities per month (to fulfil the attendance requirements);and

  • Complete the examination, docent training and practical sessions.

Activities are usually held on Saturdays, school holidays, and public holidays.
A detailed schedule will be announced later.

Upon being selected for this programme, you will receive

  • The Hong Kong Palace Museum Student Ambassador uniform and learning materials;

  • A one-year HKPM Friends — Youth membership.

Upon completion of the programme, you will:

  • Receive a certificate of completion;

  • Receive a letter of recommendation issued by the Museum Director;

  • Be officially recognised as a Hong Kong Palace Museum Student Ambassador and be able to participate in and contribute to the Museum’s cultural and educational activities.

  • How to apply: Fill out the online application form

  • Along with the application form, students should submit a self-recommendation video with the following requirements:
    1. Length: Within 2 minutes
    2. Structure:
    Approx. 30 seconds Self-introduction
    Approx. 1 minute 30 seconds Response to the topic: “Please introduce one or two items that hold special meaning for you.

  • Secondary students must apply through a school recommendation. Each school may nominate and recommend a maximum of 3 students.

* Applicants who have successfully submitted their application may be directly admitted to participate in the programme or further invited for a group interview by email or phone.
